Head of M&A – Digital Services (Client Role)
Our client, a high-growth, private equity–backed digital services company, is seeking a Head of M&A to lead its inorganic growth strategy in North America. Backed by a leading mid-market private equity fund, the business is scaling rapidly and is looking for a senior M&A leader to partner closely with the CEO, Board, and investors.
The Role
The Head of M&A will be responsible for shaping and executing the company’s acquisition roadmap, driving proactive origination, and leading transactions end-to-end. This is a highly strategic role requiring a balance of vision, execution, and influence. The successful candidate will:
Define and evolve M&A strategy in line with corporate objectives
Originate, evaluate, and prioritize acquisition opportunities
Lead due diligence, financial modelling, and deal negotiations
Manage deal structuring, financing, and documentation
Support integration planning and ensure long-term value creation
Build and nurture external relationships across founders, advisors, and funds
Present strategy and deal cases to the CEO, Board, and investors
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a commercially sharp, strategically minded M&A professional with:
Significant experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or consulting
A proven track record of sourcing, structuring, and executing deals
Strong financial and analytical skills with the ability to challenge assumptions and drive strategic alignment
Experience engaging credibly with Boards, senior executives, and external stakeholders
Exposure to high-growth, PE-backed environments (preferred)
A Bachelor’s degree; MBA or CFA strongly preferred
