Head of Business Partnering

PE-backed, mid-cap technology business

London | 3 days a week in the office

Salary: Up to £130,000

We are working with a private equity–backed technology business operating in a fast-growth, mid-cap environment. The business is scaling internationally and continues to invest heavily in product, people and commercial capability. As part of this journey, they are looking to appoint a Head of Business Partnering to play a key role in driving performance and decision-making across the organisation.

Reporting into the Finance Director / CFO, this is a senior leadership role with broad exposure to the executive team and functional leaders. The role will lead a team of business partners and act as a critical bridge between finance and the wider business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing business partnering team supporting commercial, product, operations and technology functions
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, providing insight, challenge and support to drive profitable growth
  • Own budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning in a dynamic, PE-backed environment
  • Deliver clear, actionable financial insight to support strategic and operational decision-making
  • Partner closely with the PE shareholders and executive team on value-creation initiatives
  • Improve reporting, forecasting accuracy and commercial analytics as the business scales
  • Support transformation initiatives including systems, processes and operating model evolution

About you:

  • Proven experience in a senior business partnering role within a technology, SaaS or high-growth environment
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence and challenge at executive level
  • Experience operating in a private equity–backed or similarly fast-paced, performance-driven business
  • Track record of building and leading finance business partnering teams
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity, change and ambitious growth targets
  • Qualified accountant or equivalent experience preferred
