Deputy Group Chief Accountant (m/f/d)
Location: Munich (Hybrid)
Role Type: Permanent

We are partnered with a leading Private Equity backed European Healthcare business who is looking for a Deputy Group Chief Accountant / Accounting Manager to join their team. They are a high growing company with large networks around Europe. Their strategic objective in the next few months is to make an exit to another PE firm which means to strengthen their teams so that they are exit ready and managing the growth in the best possible way.

This is a key role within finance at group level, offering exposure to complex international structures, IFRS reporting, and strategic projects including acquisitions and integrations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and ensure the accuracy and completeness of IFRS monthly and annual financial statements across multiple international entities
  • Coordinate group consolidation activities, including intercompany reconciliations and capital consolidation
  • Support and advise international finance teams on IFRS topics (including IFRS 16 and IFRS 3)
  • Prepare and review reports on financial performance and key transactions
  • Coordinate and support the external group audit process
  • Contribute to the development and standardization of group accounting policies (IFRS)
  • Participate in international projects, particularly M&A and post-merger integrations
  • Support the implementation of group-wide standards in areas such as ESG/CSRD, risk management, and tax compliance
  • Act as a key contact for finance-related topics across functions (e.g., M&A, Treasury, FP&A, Controlling)
  • Work with consolidation systems (e.g., LucaNet)

Your Profile

  • Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or similar qualification (e.g., certified accountant)
  • Several years of experience in IFRS group accounting within an international environment or advisory firm
  • Strong understanding of consolidation and group reporting processes
  • Experience with consolidation tools (LucaNet preferred)
  • Analytical mindset with a hands-on and solution-oriented approach
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, international environment
  • Fluent in German and English
