Working closely with the CEO, Board, and investors, the CFO will play a central role in shaping and delivering the company’s strategic objectives.

  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and Board, providing insight and challenge to support decision-making
  • Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across a growing international footprint
  • Lead all M&A activity, including target evaluation, due diligence, transaction execution, and post-acquisition integration
  • Support international expansion, including market entry strategy, financial structuring, and operational setup
  • Oversee cash management, funding, and capital allocation, working closely with private equity stakeholders
  • Deliver high-quality board reporting and investor communications
  • Ensure robust governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks are in place, appropriate for a scaling biopharma business

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualified experience
  • Proven CFO (or Divisional CFO / Finance Director ready to step up) experience within a private equity-backed, high-growth environment
  • Experience in biopharma, life sciences, or a closely related regulated sector
  • Strong track record of professionalising finance functions and supporting scale
  • Demonstrable M&A experience, including leading transactions and integrations
  • Experience supporting international expansion across multiple jurisdictions
  • Highly commercial, with the ability to operate strategically and at pace
  • Credible, influential leader with strong stakeholder management skills, including Board and investor exposure
