Job Description

We are excited to be partnering with a dynamic, PE backed financial services business that is expanding rapidly and looking to appoint a Tax Manager to play a key role in its next phase of growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious tax professional to join a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you’ll have real impact and visibility across the business.

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you’ll take ownership of the group’s tax affairs, supporting both day-to-day compliance and strategic initiatives. While the business is primarily UK-focused, there is growing activity across Europe, offering exposure to cross-border work in a hands-on, commercial setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of UK corporate tax compliance and reporting for the group.
  • Drive process improvements and establish a best-in-class tax control framework.
  • Provide proactive tax advice to support commercial decision-making and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Manage tax input on projects such as restructurings, acquisitions, and new product launches.
  • Liaise with external tax advisors and HMRC to ensure smooth compliance and efficient outcomes.
  • Support VAT, employment tax, and other indirect tax areas as needed.
  • Contribute to financial reporting, including tax provisioning under IFRS.
  • Identify opportunities for tax efficiencies across the group and assist in implementing them.

The ideal candidate:

  • CTA, ACA, or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong UK corporate tax experience, ideally gained in financial services, private equity, or a fast-growth business.
  • Experience working with both compliance and advisory matters.
  • Commercially minded, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and enjoys shaping processes in a growing organisation.
  • Hands-on, proactive, and eager to make an impact.
