The Role

Our client is a leading healthcare services business seeking an experienced Interim FP&A leader to strengthen financial planning, reporting, and performance management capabilities during a period of growth and transformation.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will act as a key business partner to the executive team, providing insight-driven analysis, enhancing forecasting processes, and supporting strategic decision-making across a multi-site healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
  • Developing and enhancing KPI reporting, dashboards, and performance management frameworks.
  • Delivering robust monthly management reporting and variance analysis.
  • Supporting operational leaders with financial insight to improve performance and profitability.
  • Improving FP&A processes, systems, and reporting capabilities.
  • Driving cash flow forecasting and working capital visibility.
  • Supporting business cases, investment appraisals, and strategic initiatives.
  • Assisting with M&A, integration, and value creation projects where required.
  • Providing ad hoc analysis and decision support to the CFO, CEO, and wider leadership team.
  • Managing and developing the FP&A team and broader finance stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Significant FP&A leadership experience within healthcare, healthcare services, multi-site businesses, or similarly complex service-led environments.
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and performance management expertise.
  • Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, changing environments.
  • Experience partnering with senior operational stakeholders and executive leadership teams.
  • Strong analytical capabilities combined with a commercial mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise; experience with BI and reporting tools is highly desirable.
  • Previous interim, transformation, private equity-backed, or high-growth experience would be advantageous.
